Jack and Lori Martin were born and raised in Independence, Kansas.
Jack grew up on a farm and ranch that was started by his grandparents, Bill and Mittie Martin, in 1922. Jack’s parents, Roy and Doris Martin, continued on with the business in 1945, farming, raising cattle and hogs, and operating a dairy.
Jack and Lori married in 1982 and remained partners in the family business.
In 1990, Jack graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation Jack and Lori, along with their daughters, Ti and Casey, and son, Chance, returned to Independence to expand the family business just 4 miles east of Independence. They built a large animal veterinary clinic and starter yard that was completed in 1992.
They are very proud of being a family owned and operated stocker business and that their children have contributed a large part to the growth and success of the business.
